The Illinois Emergency Nurses Association (Illinois ENA) invites all members to apply to be a delegate to the 2019 General Assembly. This year’s General Assembly will be held on Saturday, September 28 (7:45–11:45 am) and Sunday, September 29 (7:45–11:30 am; 1:00 –5:00 pm) in Austin, Texas.
The number of delegates per state is determined by ENA policies and membership numbers as of May 15, 2019. For 2018, Illinois ENA was allocated 24 delegates and 1 alternate delegate.
Applications are being accepted May 23 through June 15, 2019.
An online application process is used. Interested members should access the Members Only section of the website and click on the “Delegate Application Form” link on the left. For instructions on how to access the Members Only section, click on the link below. Complete and submit the application. After your application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.
On June 15, 2019 the application process closes. All applications will be reviewed based on a point system assignment. Those scoring the highest points will be considered to serve as a delegate. To ensure active involvement of new members in both the ENA and Illinois ENA organizations, the Illinois ENA President has the authority to include up to 20 percent first-time delegates. All delegates will be notified by July 6.

Selected delegates receive up to $ 1,000.00 in reimbursement to offset expenses. Reimbursement (consistent with Illinois ENA Financial Policies) is available after the close of the General Assembly.

The 2019 State Fundraising Challenge is underway!
From January 24 through May 31, 2019, the ENA Foundation will be accepting donations that will go toward helping the best and the brightest achieve their dreams.
ENA state councils and local chapters wage a friendly competition each year in support of the advancement of emergency nursing. The ENA State Fundraising Challenge is the ENA Foundation’s largest source of funding!
The Challenge has a new theme this year: ENSTRONG!, the theme of helping empower emergency nurses with gifts that will fund academic scholarships. States that raise $5,000 or more have the privilege of naming their own academic scholarship the following year.

Call for Nominations for the 2019 Illinois State Council ENA Election Candidates

The Illinois State Council Emergency Nurses Association is seeking Board of Directors candidates who represent ENA’s mission to advocate for patient safety and excellence in emergency nursing practice to serve as ENA state leaders. Nominations will be accepted beginning Wednesday, February 27, 2019 for the following elected positions:
